At the end of October, I was invited along to The Body Shop’s #WildAboutLeeds preview event in Leeds, to celebrate the new Leeds Briggate store. The new store is the first of it’s kind in the UK, which is amazing really and is now open for your shopping pleasure.

For the #WildAboutLeeds event, The Body Shop decorated Lamberts Yard with tropical plants and huge animal statues, to fit in with the theme. Obviously, I just had to have a photo with the huge panda. He clearly loves me. There was a really cool photo-booth and also a bar with cocktails which each had a theme of the new scents for Christmas 2016.

The event included make up consultations, with The Body Shop make-up experts. I was introduced to their gorgeous new eye shadow sticks, I am so totally obsessed with those now by the way. The Body Shop does seem to get forgotten about when it comes to makeup, but I actually already use a lot of their products.

There was also a stand for skin care consultations. I know it sounds silly, but for a while now I didn’t realise The Body Shop do a really awesome skin care range. I absolutely fell in love with the face masks, so I’m definitely going to be treating myself to one of those in future.

This years festive products are similar to our familiar old favourites from The Body Shop in previous years. I went crazy for the Glazed Apple scent last year as it had glitter in the body lotion. My favourite scent from this years collection is the Vanilla Chai, which is incredibly beautiful.

The Christmas 2016 scents are:

Personalised gifts are such a popular but unique thing at the moment. Body Butters from The Body Shop are one of their best selling products, so you will surely be pleased to find out that the Leeds Briggate store will have personalised body butters to buy, either for yourself or as a gift. You get to choose the character and the text/name – I’m Wild About ____. e.g. I’m Wild About Leeds, I’m Wild About Louise, etc. It’s such a cool idea!

At the end of the event, each of us were given an AMAZING blogger goodie bag which contained one of the Christmas advent calendars by The Body Shop and a voucher to get my own personalised body butter!

You may be thinking, “what can I expect from the new store?” Well, you’re in for such a treat! Expect the new store to be lighter and brighter than you’ve ever seen a The Body Shop store before. The most exciting news though, was that the new store has a dedicated VIP room, perfect for those of us who don’t like having consultations whilst everyone else is shopping around you.

Not that I wasn’t already, but now I am definitely #WildAboutLeeds and The Body Shop. Packed full of gift ideas for Christmas, The Body Shop is the ideal place to shop for that beauty lover in your life. Thank you so much to The Body Shop staff and everyone else involved in organising this event, it was really impressive and something different. I can’t wait to visit the new concept store on Briggate Leeds during my next visit to the city.

Are you #WildAboutLeeds and have you visited the new concept store on Briggate? Please do let me know in the comments.

I loved this event! I can’t believe we have advent calendars – I normally buy myself a pound shop chocolate one haha! Great round up of the event 🙂 xx
