Most people will struggle with sleeping at one time or another, whether that’s struggling to sleep or easily falling to sleep but the slightest noise waking you up. It is obviously very important and a decent kip can make a difference to your day. I personally go through phases of struggling to sleep, wanting to stay asleep too much, waking up at the slightest noise or movement and many other factors.
An important part of getting decent kip is your mattress. Having a mattress which matches with your bodies needs and requirements can be key to getting a better nights rest. Mattress Next Day have such a huge variety of products which can help you with sleeping, they also stock plenty of different well-known brands. I like having a mattress and pillows which are comfy and I can sink into. I find I have a decent nights rest if I feel comfy.
I am one of those people who can fall asleep pretty much anywhere, but I do generally have to be laid down. Falling asleep sat up, in a car for example, makes me feel sick once I wake up. For me personally, noise doesn’t matter too much. I used to listen to music and calming soundtracks to get myself to sleep when I was at university.
Anxiety can also be a major factor in why I struggle to sleep, and the aches or pains in my body that come with that anxiety. However, once I am asleep, I am a very light sleeper. My boyfriend can talk in his sleep and it will wake me up instantly. There are other occasions where I struggle to even wake up from the sound of my alarm.
I have included the above infographic which includes a variety of related facts on sleeping. Many of the findings on it surprised me.
Do you need complete silence to be able to sleep, or is it other factors which disrupt you?
