Scare Your Party Guests with Halloween Cocktails

Your Halloween outfit is ON POINT and you’re ready to P-A-R-T-Y. So, I’ve compiled a list of my favourite Halloween cocktails this year. I’ve tried to pick a variety of easy-to-make and more complex spooky Halloween cocktail recipes, for you to make at home.



Swamp Water Cocktail (by Louise Rose Railton)


  • 50ml Malibu
  • 10 mint leaves
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar
  • Lime juice (from 1 lime)
  • 50ml sparkling water
  • 50ml Franklin & Sons Wild Strawberry and Raspberry mixer
  • Frozen mixed fruit (I chose blackberries and raspberries)


Mix the brown sugar, mint leaves and lime juice in the bottom of a jar/glass. Add crushed ice to the glass, add the Malibu, sparkling water, Strawberry & Raspberry mixer and the frozen mixed fruit. Garnish with gummy worms to add an extra spooky touch to your drink.

The Day Of The Dead (by the Trading House)


  • 50ml Cazcabel Blanco
  • 25ml Cointreau
  • 25ml Lime Juice
  • Dash of Grenadine
  • Orange peel


Add tequila, lime juice and Cointreau to glass and shake. Pour into a fresh glass with crushed ice. Add a dash of grenadine and let it sink to the bottom. Garnish with orange peel, cut into a pumpkin or any Halloween themed shape which takes your fancy.

Halloween Juice (by Caorunn)


  • 50ml Caorunn Gin
  • 50ml Pumpkin Juice
  • 75ml Apple Juice

Shake all ingredients over ice and serve in a glass, with a slice of apple.

Pumpkin Pie Martini (by Caorunn)


  • 50ml Caorunn Gin
  • 25ml pumpkin and cinnamon vanilla syrup *instructions on how to make below
  • 20ml lemon juice

* To make pumpkin and cinnamon vanilla syrup:

Marinade cubed pumpkin in a container with Agave or sugar syrup, vanilla pods and cinnamon sticks. Muddle together to extract the water from the pumpkin, sieve and bottle.


Add all ingredients to a Boston glass, shake and double strain. Serve in a martini glass and garnish with a vanilla pod

Ghostly Shadow Cocktail (by Buddha Bar)


  • 50ml ghost vodka
  • 15ml lime juice
  • 10ml elderflower
  • 10ml sugar syrup
  • Fresh cucumber
  • Mint
  • 1 egg white
  • 25ml apple juice



Shake all ingredients and serve in a cocktail glass.
