I recently attended the Spring Menu Launch at Nourish, Sheffield. If you’re based in Sheffield, you may have noticed Nourish in Sheffield city centre. What is Nourish? Nourish is a healthy fast food restaurant, aiming to inspire others to eat better and educate others on nutrition.
I’d previously popped into Nourish Sheffield for my lunch a couple of times over the past year or so, which is why I was super excited that I’d been invited to the Spring Menu 2016 Launch. Nourish cater well for those of us with food intolerances and/or allergies, which is one of my favourite things about Nourish.
The staff, including David (the owner) were so inspirational and passionate about health, eating better/looking after ourselves and nutrition. This is definitely one of the most inspiring events I’ve ever attended, the people at Nourish truly care about what they do.
We were greeted with smoothie samples when we arrived. The first smoothie was Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, whilst the other was a Berry Kombucha smoothie. I really liked both if I’m honest, which surprised me because I can be so funny about smoothies and how they taste, but these were delicious. If you ever need a boost, pop into Nourish Sheffield or Nourish Leeds and grab yourself a smoothie, they are excellent.
Once we finished our smoothies, it was time for some yummy healthy food! The food I sampled was a little different to the other bloggers because of my food intolerances. I didn’t want to make it stupidly hard for the Nourish team, so I just mentioned my chilli and carrot intolerance beforehand so they could try make sure those foods weren’t in the products I was sampling. The photo above is the Duck Bang Bang salad, which was one of my favourites. I would happily go back and order this for my lunch.
This is the main meal that was slightly different to what the other bloggers tried, Italian Turkey Meatballs and Baked Sweet Potato (with extra sweet potato) because I sample less meals than everyone else. This was so full of flavour and my tummy felt nice & warm after trying this sample. I really did enjoy this one.
Next was the Lift Yourself Box, which contained so many of my favourite ingredients. The feta cheese made this taste extra awesome – it all tasted so good but the strong flavours worked so well together. It was very refreshing.
Finally, I got to try the Dairy Free Blueberry Cheesecake which was AMAZING. This was very filling but so worth feeling that full. Even though it was dairy free, the texture was so creamy. All the ingredients tasted super fresh. We all got a voucher in our blogger goodie bags to go back and get a cheesecake to try.
As we left, after the Q&A, each blogger was handed a blogger goodie bag full of Nourish treats to take home. The bag also did contain fresh fruit, an orange and a banana, but I ate them before I took my photo haha!
Nourish have a restaurant in both Sheffield and Leeds. If you live in or visit either cities, be sure to pop into Nourish. Their food is healthy and tastes delicious. I can assure you, there will always be something for you (even if you have food intolerances or food allergies) and things were labelled gluten free, dairy free, etc. The staff are very educated and can answer any questions you may have. I love Nourish. Thank you again to the guys at Nourish for such a wonderful evening with tasty and healthy food. Be sure to check out the Nourish website and try the menu if you can go their Leeds or Sheffield store!
