PLEASE NOTE: Always Be Gamble Aware and please play responsibly. A variety of different and exciting opportunities seem to be landing in my inbox lately. The wonderful guys at Mecca Bingo invited me to their York branch to review the summer menu and play some games of bingo. I was allowed to bring people along, so I asked my mum if she would like to come, as neither of us had been to play bingo properly before. Mecca Bingo York is located on Fishergate, just on the out-skirts of the city centre.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by my lovely friend Sami who is the manager at Mecca Bingo York. We were asked where we would like to sit and then Sami explained how the evening would unfold, and what order the bingo cards/booklets would be played in. After getting settled into our seats, mum and I ordered our drinks. As mum was driving, she stuck to the diet cola, but I decided to have a little treat in the form of a malibu and coke.
As the bingo hall began to become more and more busy with bingo enthusiasts, it was time to decide what food we fancied. Both of us were impressed with the variety on the summer menu, which reminded us both of the tasty food and variety you can get at establishments such as Wetherspoons. I ordered the Roasted Butternut Squash and Goats Cheese Risotto (£7.95) which was served with a salad and some delicious garlic dough balls. My mum fancied something more light, so she decided on the Chicken Ceaser Salad (£4.75) which also looked very tasty. It’s great that there are low calorie meals available for those who are avoiding calorific foods. As you can see from the image below, next to my yummy risotto, whilst I was waiting for my food, I won £18.70 in a game. Woo!
After the main bingo games were over, I decided I had a bit of room for some dessert. Just look at the photo of this bad boy Chocolate Sundae below! I genuinely couldn’t finish it all myself, so mum and I shared it between us. To finish my evening off, I selected one of the beautiful and colourful cocktails from the cocktail menu. I was pleasantly surprised with how much variety is available on the Mecca Bingo summer menu overall.
After my first visit to Mecca Bingo, it was instantly clear that Mecca really do value their customers and A huge thank you to Mecca Bingo York and the PR team for inviting us along. I’m so happy with my little win, to say I’ve not played bingo in a setting like this before. We had such a lovely night and we really enjoyed our evening, we are planning on coming back to play some more games of bingo in the near future.
