Disclaimer: GIFTED – I was invited to attend the #FallInLoveWithRush bloggers event, at Rush York. The event was complimentary for bloggers who were invited, in which I had my hair styled. This blog post also includes a discount code, which I have not/will not be compensated for – I’m just sharing it to be helpful!
I recently attended a Valentines Day themed VIP event at Rush York. It was an evening of pampering, chatting, catching up with other lovely York and Yorkshire bloggers and mingling. Rush have over 90 salons across the UK, including the salon in York who opened their doors in 2016. Rush offers a range of services including hair extensions, hair treatments and a wide selection of cut and colour options.
As we entered Rush York, we were greeted by their very friendly team who all had big smiles and handed us each a glass of prosecco, which was just what I needed after a day at work. The whole theme for the evening was Valentines Day and #FallInLoveWithRush. The salon was decorated beautifully in line with the Valentines theme, using pink and red balloons, with yummy Rush themed cupcakes on offer.
One by one we got the chance to have our hair styled by one of Rush’s professional team. I literally let the stylist do whatever she wanted, so she created a rose/flower in my hair using plaits/braids. I’m not the best at styling my own hair, so it was nice for someone who knows what they are doing to do it for me. As I was in the chair, I quizzed my stylist on some hair tips and chatted away.
Towards the end of the evening, I gave in and decided to treat myself by having one of the pink Rush themed cupcakes. I like Rush because they really seem focused on customer care, which showed through how attentive their team were throughout the evening. Rush pride themselves on stocking well known brand names such as Redken, L’Oréal and GHD.
As things were wrapping up nicely for the evening, we were each handed a Rush Hair goodie bag full of treats. I’m always interested in trying new products in my hair, as having curly hair can be a huge pain and I like to experiment with what works/doesn’t work with my hair type. Thank you so much to Rush York and the PR team for inviting me and having me – I had a really lovely evening and it was so nice to be pampered.
DISCOUNT CODE ALERT: New clients of Rush York can enjoy 50% discount on your first salon visit. All you need to do is quote “RUSH50” when booking online.
