The Beefeater Millfield in York recently contacted me and offered me the opportunity to check out the new refurbishment and try out their food. I used to go to this particular Beefeater restaurant growing up as a child with my family. It was actually really lovely to return and see how wonderful the place looks after it’s swanky new refurb!
The Beefeater Millfield is just outside of York and is easily accessible by car. It’s still a very family friendly restaurant, which is great for those with children. It’s also nice for a drink or meal out, with friends. We chose to pop along for an afternoon out on a lovely Saturday, when the sun was shining brightly.
Upon arrival, I could smell the fresh paint and new furniture throughout the restaurant. The layout and the way everything was themed throughout works well together and looks beautiful. The lighting is much better now and it has a brighter feel inside overall.
For our starters, I had the Loaded Potato Dippers (£4.89) and Kiel chose the same. We sometimes have very similar tastes in food. This was really delicious but it was filling for a starter. You can’t really argue with such a filling starter costing just under a fiver.
Now it was time for our main courses. Usually Kiel goes for a burger based option, but this time I mixed things up and I had the Double Bacon & Cheese Steak Beef Burger (£11.99) which tasted incredible. As you can see, Kiel decided to have the BBQ Chicken ‘n’ Ribs (£14.29) which he wolfed down.
Now for the finale – dessert! We were so full but we decided to share the Warm Chocolate Brownie (£4.99) between us. This honestly melts in your mouth, it was so worth it.
Overall, I am highly impressed with the menu and new refurbishment. Find out where your nearest Beefeater restaurant is and check out their tasty menu. Head to the Beefeater website to find out about their restaurant in York.
