My Personal Style – Going Out Dresses

One of my favourite things about going out for food or drinks is sorting through my going out dresses and deciding on what I am going to wear. My personal style is quite unique, I’d like to think I know what I feel confident wearing in regards to my body type. I have compiled a variety of photos from the past 3 years or so of the different going out dresses I’ve worn for multiple occasions.

Red-dress

This dress is from Missguided and I love the skater dress style of it. It’s a staple in my wardrobe, as it can be worn for a variety of different occasions. The dress is very comfortable and the colour if it makes it easy to accessorise. I actually wore this dress on my first date with Kiel!

Of course this blog post had to include one of my dresses from Black Milk Clothing. This photo was taken at Corporation Sheffield by my friend on a night out. This specific dress is an Inside Out Dress which has the bone machine print on one side, and the blue galaxy print on the other. I like wearing these dresses as if a drink gets spilt on it, I can switch it over to the other side during a night out with minimal effort.

Multi-Sequin-Dress

My multi coloured sequin dress was a favourite of mine, but I need to lose some weight again before I will wear it out another time. I believe I bought this from Boohoo last year.

Usually on a night out, I will be wearing something holographic, shiny or sparkly. I put this bold outfit together in my final year at university. The dress is from Black Milk Clothing, but I no longer own the silver version of this dress, just the blue one. The shoes were a favourite of mine from nastygal, but I haven’t found any more as comfortable as these.

Sequin-dress

I bought this sequin dress for when I went to Amsterdam, where we went to see the Ru Paul’s Drag Race tour. I actually felt comfortable wearing it as many people wore outfits with stood out and there were also those dressed in drag, who looked so awesome.

Pink-Dress

I first wore this dress for Christmas Day a couple of years a go. The detail is delicate and I love the colours. I also wear this dress for family meals and day time occasions, as the pink colour is day time friendly.

This is one of my going out dresses which I wear more for day time occasions, where there is a chance I may still be out in the evening. I wore this to a meal when I first met the majority of Kiel’s family.

As you can see, there seems to be a general theme of skater dresses and body con style dresses, usually with some kind of sparkle or glitter. I shop around to find the styles and colours which go with my style.
