I know this is a little delayed, sorry! I thought I’d share what I got up to/the photos I took. This weekend I went back to the home where I grew up, at my parents, in York. My lovely mum had some cocktails waiting for me as soon as I arrived on Friday evening.
Every time I go home I realise how much I miss my cat, Delia. She loves cuddles and taking naps with me. She’s an old lady now, so I put on a film and we cuddled up on my bed to have a nap.
On Saturday, mum and I popped out to go shopping. The weather was really hot that day but I was hungry, so I had a delicious salad in a café.
We then went for a look around one of our favourite charity shops, where I got some really good bargains. I blogged about my Charity Shop Haul in York at the weekend. As you can see below, we found this beautiful floral/vintage washing basket for only £1!
On Saturday afternoon I went out for some food with one of my best friends, Arron aka Ginge. We decided to go to Harvester in the end as it’s relatively cheap. Ginge had a burger and I decided on salmon, veg and sweet potato fries. Yum.
After our food, we decided to go for a drive to Harrogate where Ginge lives. I got to see his parents and his lovely puppy, Maddy. She was a little excited and almost choked on my hair but she’s cute as hell.
On Sunday my mum spotted a shoe rack on a Facebook selling group which was free, as long as you could collect it. I’d mentioned recently that I wanted one as the hallway in our flat felt slightly bare. So, we got dressed and went straight out. I’m so pleased with it! It’s exactly what I wanted and obviously brilliant because it was free.
On Sunday evening, we went out for a family meal to an italian restaurant to celebrate my twin aunties 50th birthdays. It was nice to see my family, especially my little cousin. She was so pleased to see me.
On my final night in York, my cat came for cuddles as usual. She was really comfy and wasn’t very happy when it was time for bed so I had to move her.
I also had Monday booked off work as holiday so got a little bit of an extra long weekend. I packed up my bags after doing some blogging in the morning and then mum drove me back to Sheffield.
I had such a lovely weekend. I miss home, I was so home sick. I feel better now though and I get to see my mum again this coming weekend!
Sounds like a lovely weekend! I need to visit York, it looks so cosy. xx
