Disclaimer: I was invited to attend the launch party by Indigo Rosee Beauty, hosted at Jalou York. However, there was no expectation or requirement to post about the products I was gifted or the cocktail masterclass/venue. I have previously worked with Jalou York, when I attended the cocktail masterclass event in 2018.
Earlier this month, I was invited to attend the launch party for Indigo Rosee Beauty at Jalou in York. Tori (IndigoRosee) is a Yorkshire based beauty blogger who has launched Indigo Rosee Beauty and her first range of eyelashes! I’ve met Tori at plenty of events in York over the past couple of years and I’d class her as a genuine friend of mine, but not many events take place in York at the moment, so sometimes us York bloggers don’t see each other for ages. After a long Friday at work, it was nice to have an event to look forward to that evening where I know I’m going to see some familiar faces/blogging friends.
Upon arrival, I heard my name shouted by Tori and Pippa. There was a few different groups of guests so I was struggling to work out which group I knew as I was walking into the VIP area. The room was lit purple at this point to match the aesthetic of the Indigo Rosee Beauty branding, which I thought was a really nice additional touch. Unfortunately I didn’t get photos of them but Tori also had purple balloons in the centre of the VIP area which were the letters “IR” for “Indigo Rosee”.
Our hostess and lovely bar lady Emily tended to our alcohol related needs throughout the evening. She was fab! Emily was so friendly and interacted with everyone. The event was really fun, as it was nice to meet new people but also catch up with friends from the York bloggers scene. The evening ran so smoothly and I noticed Tori was able to walk around and chat to every single attendee.
The main part of the evening was a cocktail masterclass. We each got to make two cocktails of our choice. As you can see above, someone chose to make their own cocktail which came with a kinder egg shot! I loved that idea. For my first cocktail, I decided to make something different to my last Jalou York visit. The cocktail choice I decided on for my first cocktail was the Bubblegum Daquiri. I’ve always wanted to try the cocktail and I’d heard such good things about it, the cocktail was definitely worth choosing, as it was topped with popping candy (and obviously bubble gum flavoured).
As I spent the next day quite hungover, it wasn’t until the Sunday that I actually felt human enough to open my gift box and properly have a look at the products! Tori wrote such a heart-warming and kind message inside my gift box. I love personal touches like that. I also like that the packaging had our individual names on, which I didn’t realise during the evening as the lighting was low throughout the evening and I’d had a bit to drink.
Now it’s time to show you the incredible lash products this extremely hard working young woman has been working on! The first lash range launched by Indigo Rosee Beauty includes three sets of lashes, which are named via personal connections Tori has to certain words. The top set is named Sugar, the middle is called Vonnie and the last lash set is called Confidence, which is my favourite of the three.
I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you so much to Tori/Indigo Rosee Beauty and Jalou York for inviting me to the launch event and hosting such a wonderful evening. Tori, you should be incredibly proud of everything you have achieved so far – I know that I’m so proud of you! I can’t wait to see what the future holds for Indigo Rosee Beauty and what future products you have lined up. Emily and Jalou York did such a fabulous job of hosting the cocktail masterclass and evening, I really enjoyed myself, as evidenced by how much I drank haha – oops.
