I know it’s a little early to be mentioning to dreaded ‘C’ word – I’m sorry! However, Christmas is coming! The wonderful team at Browns Leeds invited myself and a guest to attend their Christmas Showcase event last week. Jess and I got in the festive spirit in late October as we travelled to Leeds after Jess finished work.
I love Christmas and I love food, so this event at Browns Leeds was bound to be a success in my eyes. Showcasing their delicious Christmas food and drinks, I was hugely impressed, as was Jess.
Offering elegant dining options such as beautiful décor and afternoon tea, Browns is so much more impressive than I ever realised. We were greeted with a glass of bubbly and then offered some gorgeous mulled wine afterwards, which really got me in the festive spirit. I can’t believe I’d never visited Browns before!
The selection of food was absolutely gorgeous, I thought it was never going to stop coming – the Browns team just kept bringing more food out for us to try. The turkey and cranberry sauce rolls were so tasty, I can be funny about turkey but this wasn’t dry at all.
Other festive canapes were brought out for us, including caramelised shallot tatin which had whipped goats cheese on top. Jess and I were going crazy over the goats cheese, it was really delicious.
Of course, Christmas is never complete without pigs in blankets. It felt kind of odd eating pigs in blankets in October – but this made me excited even more for Christmas. There was also vegetarian options available, such as the Beetroot Hash balls. I was pleasantly surprised by the beetroot hash, I actually really enjoyed them.
Then the desserts started to be brought out! First I tried the Belgian chocolate brownies which were light and soft. Next was the glazed passion-fruit slice which looked stunning because of the delicate presentation.
Deary me, the white chocolate pot was to die for. Honestly, I’m not the biggest fan of white chocolate but I actually went back for another white chocolate pot it was THAT incredible.
Fancy celebrating Christmas with friends, family or loved ones? Take a look at Browns Christmas menu. Not only are they offering a variety of festive menus, Browns Leeds also have a range of selected festive cocktails and champagnes – all provided in the perfect setting. Thank you so much to Browns Leeds for having us, it was such a good event which we really enjoyed – we both left feeling full and satisfied. Thanks to you guys we’re feeling very festive now, especially after having some of the gorgeous mulled wine at this event. I’m so excited for Christmas!
